Tadalafil For Women
Cialis (Tadalafil) is primarily prescribed for men suffering from Erectile Dysfunction (ED), as well as from symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). The drug, sold under the label Adcirca, is also prescribed in the treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) in both men and women. By using Tadalafil to treat PAH, women (and men) are better able to perform more strenuous activities including exercising and working out.
Tadalafil for women may also be helpful in treating Raynaud’s phenomenon, a condition that leads to a decreased flow of blood to the fingers and hands as a result of cold temperatures or due to stress.
Tadalafil works similar to its other brand rival, Sildenafil (Viagra). They both function by blocking the actions of an enzyme in the body called phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) – hence are they both known as PDE5 inhibitor drugs. In 2001, the publication “Journal Watch Women’s Health” contained a study which seemed to indicate that Sildenafil (Viagra) could likely assist women in achieving enhanced sexual arousal. While the study was limited in scope (51 women aged 22 to 38), its conclusions could indicate that Tadalafil too may have the same benefits for women.
Parallel versions of Female Cialis (Tadalafil) are available to treat Female Sexual Arousal Disorder (FSAD) as well as for women who suffer from sexual dysfunction. While the FDA has not endorsed/approved Female Cialis (Tadalafil), it is believed that the drug may be helpful in increasing blood flow to a woman’s genital region, and may also be helpful in stimulating vaginal lubrication. Both these functions would enhance a woman’s sexual appetite and deliver intensified satisfaction to women during sexual activity.
Female Cialis (Tadalafil) is labeled to work within 45 minutes after taking it, and its effects are indicated to last anywhere from 12 to up to 24 hours.
Given that a woman’s sexual organs work differently than a man’s, and that sexual arousal and libido are far different than a man’s, it may be a good idea to consult a qualified physician before using Tadalafil for women. Women who are breastfeeding or pregnant may need to exercise even greater diligence prior to using Tadalafil for women.
